Digital rail network is used for visualization, for different analyses and for computations of radio network planning in PegaPlan.

The data have a high resolution and are attributed. The following attributes are present:

DIRECTION, LENGTH, OF_KM, TO_KM, ELECTRIFICATION, COURSE USE ,SPEED, SHORTNAME, NUMBER OF TRACKS, MIN_SPEED, MAX_SPEED

The digital course data does not only contain the route network, but as separate layer also tunnels, operating places and 3D-coordinates. Operating places can be: Stations, stop-l points and distance changes.
